Who Will Train My Dog?
Did you know that training dogs requires no license or permit of any kind??? We think this is nuts, and that is why every trainer at Amanda Gagnon Dog Training is required to maintain professional certification through the most restrictive independent certifying organizations in the field (CCPDT or IAABC). All of our trainers are experienced, vetted, professional, personable, and passionate about you and your dog. In addition, we work as a team. When you book with any one of our trainers, you receive the benefit of all our minds. We compare notes, discuss training plans, and research the latest techniques as a group, so that you know you are always getting the best possible training available.
Get to know each of our trainers by checking out our Meet The Team page.
Where does Private Training Take Place?
Private Training is done in your home, on your block, or wherever the behaviors in question occur. We do not do in-person private training outside of Manhattan, but we are happy to help you virtually instead if you live elsewhere.
What’s the Cost of Training?
Initial Consultations (always virtual), 30-minutes, $110
Private Training Sessions (ad hoc), 60-minutes, $250
During your initial consultation, your trainer is likely to recommend a discounted package.
Additional fees apply for all sessions booked directly with Amanda. Note: Due to heavy demands on her time, Amanda is not always available for private sessions. She works very closely with every one of our trainers on their cases and personally develops all of our curricula, so booking with any of our trainers is influenced by Amanda’s expertise.
Apprentice Training Packages are available at a deeply discounted rate. Apprentices who are taking sessions are fully versed in training methodology, but still building their experience in the field. Inquire by email or phone, if you are interested in booking time with an apprentice trainer. ***Available Spring 2024
“Amanda has great knowledge about canine behaviors and training techniques. She is as warm and kind with humans as she is with dogs. We are happy to recommend Amanda and AGDT without qualification.”
